Jeff Davis, a native of Shamokin, PA, graduated from Shamokin High School in 1972, earned his B.A. in Psychology from Gettysburg College, Pa. in 1976, and his M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Shippensburg University, PA in 1977.
Upon graduation, Jeff took a commission in the United State Air Force. For the next 17 years, Jeff progressed through assignments in nuclear security, anti-drug work, and law enforcement operations. Along the way, he took a three-year assignment to teach at the University of Maryland, as an Assistant in the ROTC department.
A short time later, Jeff returned to security work as the operations officer, and then squadron commander, of a police unit in Germany. He was the Chief of Police at an air base there when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. After four years overseas, Jeff was assigned to Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Langley Air force Base, VA. There he worked as Director of Law Enforcement Operations for the command. He also graduated from the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA., in Dec. 1991.
In the Fall of 1994, with 17 years of active duty military service, then Major Jeff Davis resigned his commission to accept God's call to full-time missions service with CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA. INC. In 1996, Jeff became a licensed minister of the Gospel in the State of PA.
In January 2004 Jeff Davis began his service as the State Director. In his current position, he is responsible to staff, lead, and encourage county workers across the state within the ministry.
Jeff is married to the former Cathy Wolfe, of Sunbury, PA., and together they have three children.
Today CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA., INC. is spread over 25 counties, with 42 full-time county directors and staff, county committees, and hundreds of volunteers. The goal is still the same, to bring children to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
