Miss Carol Hoover is a native of Fishertown, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Donald Hoover. She graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1964. After working in the secular field for five years, she attended Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland. She graduated in the spring of 1973 with a major in Bible and a minor in Christian Education.
Carol first became involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship during her years at Washington Bible College. After graduation she served as a summer missionary in western Pennsylvania. Following her summer of service God called her to serve as the full-time missionary director for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Somerset County, PA.
In 1975, Carol graduated from the Child Evangelism Fellowship Leadership Institute in Muskegon, Michigan. She continued to serve in western Pennsylvania as a local county director until 1987.
In May of 1987 Carol moved to Ohio. She was selected as the Missionary Director for SHOES, a five-county area in the northwest part of the state. Carol ministered there for 14 years. During this time she also served 5 years as Education Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ohio, Inc. While there, Carol was involved in coordinating and providing training for the Summer Missionary Training School and Curriculum Workshops.
In March of 2002, Miss Hoover left the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ohio. She began her ministry with CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA, INC. in mid-April. Carol currently serves as the State Field Worker, ministering in the local counties as well as being a part of the teacher training team that travels the state to train and encourage our full-time staff and volunteers. Carol also teaches several Good News Clubs personally.
